Several weeks ago Dan & I finally decided to pull the trigger on purchasing a new bed for our master bedroom. We were sleeping in a queen & although we could fit perfectly fine, Dan wasn't sleeping all that well in it. We were hoping that a bigger & more comfortable bed would solve the problem. Since we were moving from a queen to a king, that also meant that we had to purchase a new comforter set, new sheets, new pillows (which I never thought would be a problem until we laid our regular size pillows down & they looked like the size of marshmellows & barely took up any room). Finally...here's a picture of our new bed!

Love, love, love this bed & the comforter set.
The first week we had this bed it was very difficult to get up when my alarm went off in the morning - beyond comfortable. As you can see, Lexi very much enjoys it:
Dan's sleeping has definitely improved & I sometimes find myself reaching over in the middle of the night to make sure he's still in the bed because of all the room.
Home Improvement - Shortly after we got our new bed, Dan decided to pull out the remaining leftovers of our hardwood flooring & rip up the carpet on our upstairs landing. When we had Lowe's install our hardwood they left one of our landings still carpeted & one Sunday Dan got bit by the home improvement bug & wanted a "do it yourself" project. A plan that we thought would only take about 1 or 2 hours ended up lasting
all day.

Workin' hard.

Before (without our white carpet attached).

After!
He did such a great job - I had to give my handy man some props.
