My M.Ed. Hubby

Dan officially completed his Masters in Education at the beginning of this month & I am so very proud of him. In order to celebrate, a multi-graduation party was planned for March 10th at The Breeze in Herndon. The graduates were Dan, Greg & John who all completed the same Masters program. A room at The Breeze was rented & there were appetizers & pizza to eat; since most of everyone goes to The Breeze for their bar area there was drinking, mingling & also karaoke that night.

Dan & his sister Kelly sang some Alabama: After a few margaritas, I was able to get up & sing - Ashley, Me & Katie singing Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond: Kelly, Dan & Aurie having a good ole time: The graduates finally got up there & sang some Journey: Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with Dan, Greg & John; we had a great time!

A special congratulations to my husband - words cannot describe how truly proud of you I am. You deserve your success & so much more. I've said it before & I'll say it again, you've taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to...the sky's the limit. :o)

One of my running partners brought an article to my attention called "A Few Rules to Run By." For all of you runners out there, if this doesn't make you laugh then I don't know what will. Enjoy!

Shoe of the Month ~ March

First of all....Happy March everyone! I'm hoping this month will bring us some consistent nice weather so everyone can stop getting sick due to this up & down weather roller coaster we've been on.

Now to get back on track, I'm posting to announce the March shoe which to be honest I just found this afternoon. Usually I have the shoe picked out way before the 1st even comes along, but I've been pretty distracted lately with my training & Dan & I's schedules. I did get excited once I found it & was looking forward to this post. I decided to go with a feminine shoe, which not everyone is going to like but that's to be expected - you can't please everyone. In the past I've posted edgy, sexy & practical, so this month I wanted to do something that was a little more girlie. Well...here it is: The Shimmery Cutout Blossom Heel by Charlotte Russe. Click here for further information.

I really love this shoe, but the problem (& I have the same problem all the time) is that I don't really have anything to wear them with. I tend to pick out shoes that my eyes are drawn to, instead of the ones that I can actually match several things with that are already in my closet. My thinking at the register is, "I'll just have to buy an outfit to go with them." No big deal, right? Well, not if you have a husband like I do. He's asked me before, "what are you going to wear with those?" Already knowing that I have nothing to wear them with. Once I reveal my plan, I get the look. The look that says - do you really need any more clothes, let alone those new pair of shoes that you just bought? Well guys, I'll let you in on a little secret....no, of course we don't need them but they make us happy so just go with it.

I'll now leave you with some great advice from Monograms & Margaritas:
